Refund Policy

Last updated: 21 July 2026

This Refund Policy applies to purchases made through GoSpectator, a service operated by GOSPECTATOR LTD. Payments are processed securely by Stripe on GoSpectator's behalf.

1. 30-day money-back guarantee on platform fees

If you are an Organiser and you are not satisfied with the GoSpectator platform itself, you may request a full refund of any platform fees paid to GoSpectator within 30 days of the original charge. This applies to platform/subscription fees only.

2. Tickets sold to Attendees

Tickets are sold by the Organiser of the event through the GoSpectator platform. The following platform-wide rules apply to every event:

  • Organiser-set refund window. Each Organiser decides, at the time of creating the event, whether self-service refunds are allowed and, if so, how many days before the event start time the cut-off is (for example, up to 2 days before). The applicable window is shown on the event page and on the ticket page. If the Organiser has not enabled refunds, tickets are non-refundable except in the cases below.
  • Event cancelled by the Organiser. If the Organiser cancels the event, all Attendees receive a full refund of the ticket price.
  • Material changes. If an event is materially changed (for example, a significant change of date, location, or line-up), Attendees may request a refund even outside the Organiser's window by contacting us.
  • Booking / service fees. Any GoSpectator booking or service fee shown at checkout is retained by the platform and is not refunded, in line with standard industry practice. The full ticket price (excluding such fees) is refunded.
  • Used tickets. Tickets that have already been scanned at the door are not refundable.
  • Tickets listed for resale. A ticket that has been listed for resale on GoSpectator (available only after the Organiser's refund window has closed) is not eligible for a refund from the Organiser. Where the Organiser has enabled resale, this is the Attendee's route to try to recover funds after the refund cut-off.

3. Resold tickets

Where the Organiser has enabled ticket resale, a ticket that is re-sold through GoSpectator carries the same refund rights as any other ticket for that event — for example, a full refund if the Organiser cancels the event or makes a material change. The original seller is paid out through Stripe only once the resale completes; if the ticket does not sell before the event, no payout is made and the ticket remains with the original buyer.

4. How to request a refund

  1. Easiest: open your ticket page (the link in your confirmation email) and tap "Request refund". If the Organiser has enabled refunds and you are within their published window, the refund is processed automatically through Stripe to your original payment method.
  2. After the window, or if you can't access the ticket page: contact us at hello@gospectator.com with the email address you used at checkout and we'll look into it.

5. How long refunds take

Approved refunds are issued through Stripe back to the original payment method. Funds typically appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.

6. Statutory rights

Nothing in this policy limits any statutory consumer rights you may have under the laws of your country of residence (including, where applicable, the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 and equivalent EU consumer protection law). Note that live event tickets for a specific date are generally excluded from the standard 14-day "cooling off" right of withdrawal under UK and EU law.
